Most people get over a relationship by drowning their sorrows at the bottom of a glass - but Cheryl Cole has gone on a spending spree to buy a new home.

The nation tried to warn her, but blinded by love, Cheryl attempted to reignite the flame with ex-husband Ashley Cole.

Now she has been left inconsolable after discovering he had yet another fling with an air hostess as they made an attempt to rekindle their own relationship.

But Cheryl has splashed out on a Hollywood abode, overlooking the infamous Avenue of the Stars.

The palatial two-bedroom pad also boasts three luxury bathrooms, a home cinema and an outdoor swimming pool, all for the costly sum of $5,050,000 (£3million).

Cole's new Beverly Hills apartment was originally part of a five star hotel, which may explain the skyscraper exterior of the buildilng.

A local estate agent said: 'Cheryl has great taste. She is moving into the most prestigious address in the whole of LA.'

With a new home, the 28-year-old can finally move on, having called time on her doomed romance.

She has now instructed the shamed footballer: 'I’m done - delete my number.'

The former X Factor judge also cancelled a planned family party on what would have been their fifth wedding anniversary last Friday.

New reports have once again shown Ashley's true colours, with revelations he had a relationship with Virgin Atlantic crew member Kerry Meades.

The stewardess, 29, said she had bedded the sportsman back in 2004, before recapturing the magic just last month on holiday in Los Angeles.

They were reunited after a chance meeting at trendy supperclub on June 14.

The LA company boasts on its website: 'A night at supperclub is more than a dinner, it's a culinary journey like none you have ever experienced.

'It's the only thing better than breakfast in bed: DINNER in bed.'

Their chemistry led them to arrange another outing just three days later, when they met in a west Hollywood nightclub before going home for sex.

They said: 'Once again Ashley appears to have outdone himself. Just as Cheryl’s getting back on track and working really hard on her music he does this. She is humiliated.

'Ashley had organised a family ­gathering, a barbecue, for when he got back from pre-season training in the Far East. This has been scrapped.

'Cheryl told him on the phone yesterday that clearly Ashley isn’t yet ready to be a committed family man.

'At one point they had a blazing row and Cheryl basically said she was through with him and told Ashley to delete her number and leave her alone.

'Cheryl is determined to keep her head down now and focus on work. What will be with Ashley will be. But it can wait.'

Despite being a media darling, behind closed doors Cheryl's life has been shrouded with disappointment and bad luck.

Just over a week ago he was snapped being the dutiful tenant as he took out the rubbish.

But it would seem that Ashley Cole has more than outstayed his welcome as far as the neighbours are concerned anyway.

The Chelsea star has reportedly angered his local community for turning the affluent Beverly Hills street into a 'pig sty'.


The footballer has ordered so much takeaway food for him and his friends that the bins outside his £18,500 a week rented mansion are overflowing.

Of course, it doesn't say much for the rubbish collectors in the district, who haven't been keeping on top of collecting the trash.

But it could also be that Cole and his friends have just ordered so much food that there are just not enough bins for all their rubbish.

The wheely bins ate overflowing with dirty paper plates, empty popcorn bags and torn and screwed up McDonalds bags.

Whatever the reason, the neighbours are said to be furious and one, who asked not to be name, said: 'It's awful, it stinks.

'It's like they've turned this nice, quiet, clean and respected street into a pig sty. It's utterly disgusting.'

Ashley, 30, has been in Los Angeles for two weeks and has been staying at the mansion on a lads' holiday.

They have been staying at the six-bedroom mansion in the Hollywood Hills, which is reported to be worth $7million.

It sprawls across 10,000 square feet and all bedrooms are en suite.

Ashley jetted out to LA after reportedly spending the night with ex-wife Cheryl Cole, as she kept a low profile following her humiliating sacking from the X Factor USA.

According to one report today, he is so convinced that he is buying her a chihuahua for her 28th birthday next Thursday.

They are a favourite breed of Cheryl's who already owns two of the minature dogs, Coco and Buster.

Reports today claim that the singer's mother Joan Callaghan is furious that her cheating former son-in-law may have wormed his way back into Cheryl's heart.

The 27-year-old singer yesterday told confidantes she will not rule out a reconciliation with the Chelsea and England footballer, 30, who had a string of affairs during their marriage.
