Bags of style: Katie Holmes leaves Milan Fashion week with a whopping two loaded trolleys full of luggage

Katie Holmes proved her increased commitment to fashion today after shunning style for a while to dedicate herself to motherhood when she left her hotel in Italy with a whopping two cartloads of baggage.

The former Dawson's Creek star had checked out of the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan where she has been staying for the city's fashion week with her mother Kathleen - but most of the luggage seemed to belong to the Hollywood star.

Katie, 32, had left daughter Suri on the other side of Atlantic with husband Tom Cruise - but certainly had more than enough clothes to keep her company.

The mother-of-one has ditched her boyfriend jeans and saggy baggy old cardigans for full-on glamour for her trip, and even kept up the hard work of looking impeccable as she got ready to travel.

The brunette beauty, who was recently named The Face Of The Future by fashion house Max Mara, had clearly taken the honour to heart and was also clutching one of the label's camel coats.

Not one, but three huge handbags were also swinging pride of place from the top of the hotel luggage trolleys, as well as one bag of what appeared to be fashion freebies, as well as at least five suitcases.

Husband Tom, 48, meanwhile was being kept company back in Vancouver by British actor Simon Pegg.

The pair were seen watching an ice hockey game between the Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens from a luxury VIP box during a break from filming their new movie Mission Impossible 4.

They are currently in the Canadian city filming the fourth installment of the franchise, entitled Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol.

In the film Simon, 41, reprises his role of Benji Dunn alongside Tom's Ethan Hunt - a super spy with a new case to solve.

Tom, Katie, Suri and Tom's daughter Isabella, 18, are all currently based in Vancouver while the film is made.

Katie's next film project meanwhile is Jack And Jill with the usually box office-friendly Adam Sandler, which she will be hoping is a hit when it hits theatres in December.
